Cancellation Policy

Cancellations and Refunds 

Should you need to cancel your trip, you (or your authorized travel agent) must notify us in writing by letter, e-mail, or by fax immediately. For any reason that you need to cancel or modify your orders, the bank wire transfer fee and credit card fee will be deducted at the same time of your refund. If we cancel your tour due to insufficient enrolment, we will find an alternative tour for you. If this is not acceptable, all monies paid will be refunded in full and will constitute full settlement. We will not be responsible for any expenses incurred, such as visas, independently purchased airfare, or any other compensation. Notice of cancellation due to insufficient enrolment in any program will be given approximately 60 days prior to departure. 

  • Less than 30 days prior to departure: all monies paid are 100% non-refundable, non-transferable. Name changes are not permitted. We are not able to grant partial refunds for any unused trip arrangements - voluntarily missed meals, sightseeing, transport, etc - after the trip has commenced, or any refunds to trip members who do not complete any portion of the itinerary for whatever reason. 
  • More than 30 days prior to tour departure date: Charge $100 per reservation cancellation fee.  
  • The following situations apply to cancel or modify your orders: 
  • Reducing the number of participants in the same Reservation. 
  • Cancelling the entire reservation.  
  • Modifying your trip to another product or itinerary.  
  • Modifying to a different tour date. 

Change of Reservations: 

Should you need to change your reservation, you (or your authorized travel agent) must notify us in writing by letter, e-mail, or by fax immediately. A service charge of $50.00 per change will be levied, if you wish to change your reservation after confirmation has been processed and deposit applied at least 31 days prior to tour starts, we will do our utmost to satisfy your request. Upgrades will be charged at the rate of the upgrade. Any supplier change fees will be passed on to the client. No change allowed within 30 days before the tour starts. For any reason that you need to cancel or modify your orders, the bank wire transfer fee and credit card fee will be deducted at the same time of your refund. 

  • The following situations apply to changing your reservation: 
  • Adding the numbers of participants in the same reservation, which depends on variety of suppliers’ availability. 
  • Modifying the names of participants.

Booking Notice: 

  1. Travellers need to warrant that all information (included name, gender, contact information, age etc.) supplied by you is true, accurate, current and complete. 
  2. Please make sure your received <Tour confirmation>at least 7 days prior to departure. 
  3. Travellers with special needs, such as bed type, vegetarian meal, or wheelchair accessible rooms, must contact us or Westar distributor agents at the time of booking or at least 7 business days prior to departure. We cannot be held responsible for non-fulfillment of any special needs request whatsoever. Please note that additional costs may be applicable for some or all the services requested. 
  4. We recommend purchasing activities, meal options at least 7 days prior to the departure. We do not accept any purchase of optional activities and meals with 7 days or during the tour. 
  5. We assign hotel star ratings based on several factors, including our opinion regarding location, amenities, and facilities relative to the general standards of the destination, as well as feedback from customers and staff. These ratings may differ from other published ratings. Our hotel star ratings are not a representation or promise of any feature or amenity.  
  6. Any optional and/or physical activity that you choose to undertake during the trip, as a result of your voluntary purchase, may inherently contain a risk of personal injury, loss or damage to you and/or your personal possessions. You hereby expressly agree to assume the entire risk of any and all such injury, loss or damage. Moreover, these optional activities are subject to conditions and limitations imposed by the said service providers. You hereby release, discharge and indemnify Westar from any and all liability or claims of any nature arising out of or in relation to any loss, damage, injury or illness whether physical or mental, resulting from any delay, substitution of equipment, or any act, omission or negligence of service providers, their employees, servants, agents, subcontractors or unrelated third parties resulting from or arising out of any of the optional tours or activities in which you voluntarily participate, and you agree to accept all risks associated therewith. 
  7. Bilingual guided tour: Chinese and English. 
  8. Seating: Seating is based on a first-come first-serve basis. If you have a request based on special needs, please speak with your guide when you board the motor coach and we will do our best to accommodate your request. 
  9. Service standard: 24ster or smaller vehicle, driver guide service provided during the tour; step-on guide service provided for coach bus tour. 
  10. If you purchased a local sit-in bus tour, he sequences of the itinerary may be revised by offering same standard of the services.
