Make your way to the Icefields Adventure Base heliport, located 1.5 hours north of Lake Louise and 2.5 hours south of Jasper. During your 20-minute helicopter flight, you’ll be rewarded with sights you can see only from the air. Soon after lift-off, Abraham Lake comes into view as you climb to an altitude of about 4,386 feet (1,337 meters). Cruise at 100 miles per hour over Cline Pass, which boasts an elevation of 9,000 feet (2,743 meters). Soar over Cline, Lion, and Lioness glaciers, and watch a 900-foot-tall (274-meter) waterfall cascade from two aqua-green lakes. Need more time in this beautiful wilderness? Book the 1-hour optional hike, and come dressed for the weather.
